About Us

Bio PicWith over 25 years experience, Deshmon serves as the sole owner & managing member of D Reed & Associates PLLC. As a native of Fort Worth, Texas he received his formal education in the Fort Worth Public Schools and graduated high school with honors two years earlier than scheduled. He received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and completed his graduate studies at The University of North Carolina and Strayer University, receiving his Master of Science in Accounting.

Deshmon has worked in the field of accounting throughout his career. His early industry experience includes being an Accounts Payable Representative for a large cell phone company, a Senior Accountant/Controller for a religious non-profit organization, and working for Pickens, Snodgrass, & Koch, a local DFW area accounting firm. He later worked as the Director of National Registration and Director of Member Services & Contributions for The Potters House of Dallas and T.D Jakes Ministries, Inc.  It was there he was responsible for an annual department spending budget of over $2M and the accurate reconciliation of over $12M in annual revenue. His most recent work includes being a Field Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service where he audited individuals, small business owners, partnerships, and small corporations.  In addition, he worked as an Auditor for the Department of Defence (Defense Contract Audit Agency), where he was responsible to review and issuing reports to all branches of the U.S Armed Forces related to potential contracts to be secured by large government defense contractors. 

Deshmon started his own business in 1995, providing tax and consulting services while also working a full time job as well. Through his continued philosophy of building relationships and not just clients he helps empower his clients with knowledge of the accounting process. He strives to build a family of knowledgeable people that he can help maximize their profits and minimize their tax liability while in the confines of the tax law.
